“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”- Carl Jung

Hi, I’m britt.

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.

I have been passionate about tending to the spiritual dimension of life for as long as I can remember. I have been immersed in the world of spirituality, emotional awareness and mindfulness work for over 15 years. I believe deeply that to experience the peace and joy that life has to offer each of us is our birthright. And regardless of our circumstances it is always available to us right here, right now, in this precious present moment.

I am a professionally trained interfaith hospital chaplain and am trained to provide spiritual, emotional and grief support and end of life care to patients and families in the hospital setting. This work has profoundly shaped my mentoring and coaching practice as I have been privileged to support thousands of people in some of the most tender and intimate times of their lives. I have also been able to learn from the tremendous wisdom people share at the end of their lives as they reflect with striking clarity about what has been important to them and what has not, what they are grateful they spent their time on and what they are glad or wished they would have let go of. This is a gift I treasure and has fueled my passion to support others in integrating this life wisdom as early as we all can. Before chaplaincy, I worked in community mental health for a number of years providing one on one and group led support to clients in the areas of relationship skill development, mindfulness and emotional awareness. I also traught self-awareness (Enneagram) courses in the Shakopee women’s Prison through the Enneagram Prison Project and co-led a 4 year spirituality group for undergraduate women at the College of Saint Benedict.

My way of being with others is psychospiritual in nature and my coaching is focused on supporting you in developing deeper connection to yourself and what matters to you, spiritual and self-understanding, emotional support and deep personal growth. I have robust training in the Enneagram and integrate that into my coaching and mentoring. Spiritually, I have deep roots in Ignatian spirituality (Catholic) and draw from teachings in mysticism, mindfulness, presence work, Taoist and Buddhist teachings and the abundance of research on the mind-body, stress disease connection, somatic teachings, neuroscience and the physical manifestations of emotional and spiritual stress and trauma in the body.

I am also in recovery, am deeply informed by 12 step spirituality work and integrate that into my own spiritual practice.

My deepest passion is to support people in ultimately engaging their lives with more authenticity, joy, ease and presence.

My Approach

I believe we are each the experts of our own story. I also believe in the often quoted line from spiritual teacher Gurdjieff that “it is not only difficult to do this work alone, it is impossible.” My approach blends these two perspectives at the same time. A potent blend of trusting what is within our awarenes and what is not. Everything we need is within us. And our blind spots, unconscious patterns and conditioning are strong. We all require the support of a trusted guide to engage us with the parts that prevent us from being fully in the here and now of our life.

What am I like?

Intuitive, compassionate, heart-centered, with a dose of irreverant humor, willing to challenge and lean into the tough spots, comfortable in the silence, powerful inquirer, grounded, calm, a cancer, mystic, mom, partner and soul friend
